Cookie policy
This website uses only one technical cookie: the one for your language. Here we explain what it stores, how the initial language is chosen, the only thing that can set third-party cookies —the Google Maps map— and how to decide about it.
What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) are small files or pieces of data that a website stores on your device in order to recognise it or remember information. The applicable Spanish legislation is Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Guide on the use of cookies issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Cookies used by this website
Only one technical cookie. This website does not use session, analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and does not load third-party scripts. The only first-party cookie is viabim-lang, which is created only if you choose a language with the ES · EN · DE selector in the header, so that the website opens in that language on your next visits. Fonts are served from this same site, with no connection to external servers.
The only thing that can set third-party cookies is the Google Maps map embedded on the "Venue" page. That is why it is not loaded until you accept it: until then you see a notice with a "Load map" button and an alternative link to open the address in Google Maps.
| Element | Who | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
Embedded Google Maps map (cookies such as NID or others that Google may decide to use) | Google Ireland Ltd. (third party). Google's policy | To display the interactive map. Google also receives your IP address and may use its cookies for its own purposes. | As determined by Google (some up to 6 months or more) |
viabim-consent (local storage, not a cookie) | This website (first party) | To remember whether you have accepted or declined the loading of the map, so that you are not asked again. It is strictly technical and does not require consent. | 12 months or until you clear your browser data |
viabim-lang (cookie) | This website (first party) | To remember the language you have chosen with the ES · EN · DE selector, so that the website is shown in that language. It is created only if you choose a language; it is a user preference cookie and does not require consent. | 12 months or until you clear your browser cookies |
How the initial language is chosen
When you enter the home page, the server determines the country you are connecting from based on your IP address, using a database held on the server itself: if it is Spain or another Spanish-speaking country, the website is shown in Spanish; if it is Germany, Austria or Switzerland, in German; from any other country, in English. This check is carried out entirely on our server: your IP address is neither disclosed to third parties nor stored. If you choose a language with the selector, your choice (stored in the viabim-lang cookie) takes priority over the country.
How to accept, decline or change your choice
On your first visit a notice appears with two equivalent options: Accept (the map will load automatically) or Decline (the map is not loaded; you can open the address in Google Maps in a new tab). Closing the page or continuing to browse is not interpreted as acceptance.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time from this very page:
You have not yet indicated your preference.
You can also delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
Links to external services
The registration form is processed on this website's own server (it does not use Google Forms or set cookies); the processing of the data you provide is explained on the form itself. The "Open in Google Maps" links open Google Maps in a new tab, outside this website, where Google's policies apply.
